Special Enrollment – Advanced Placement or Other Course
High school students (grades 9-12) who do not attend St. Vrain Virtual High School on a full-time basis may choose to take an Advanced Placement or Other course that would otherwise not be available to them at their brick and mortar school of residence by applying for part-time admission to St. Vrain Virtual High School to complete those requirements.
To be considered for an online course:
- Students must be enrolled in and attending one of the St. Vrain Valley Schools brick and mortar high schools.
- The Advanced Placement or other course is not offered or there is a scheduling conflict at the student’s home high school.
- Students must have an open block/time release in their schedule at their home high school.
- The brick and mortar administrator/counselor has recommended this as a viable option for the student.
To apply, students need to fill out the enrollment application.
Once, the application has been received, a recommendation form will be forwarded to the student’s brick and mortar administrator/counselor.
Once accepted, students will be notified by email and will then be required to attend an orientation session.
Students must pass the final exam to pass the course.
